Perspective

A Matter of Perspective

The above illustration shows us that there is often more than one way to look at given information. Each of the shapes can represent more than one solid. At Calvary Christian School, students are prompted to examine problems rather than race to the solution. It is important that our students know how to think rather than to follow a set of rules which will spit out an answer.

Critical thinking is at the heart of our math program and is supported in lectures, example, working models, and in lessons and tests.

geometry

Patterns are as much a part of mathematics as they are in art and in science. In geometry, the student will delve into the mathematics of common shapes and patterns. These principles lay the foundation for deductive reasoning, vital for success in more advanced math.
